OAKTON TECHNOLOGY BEHIND £50 MILLION IN HOTEL BOOKINGS

In January 2001, Oakton, The Hospitality and Consultancy firm, (www.oakton.co.uk) announced its re-organisation, creating six distinct practice areas. The decision has proved to be good news for Oakton's clients, delivering enhanced technology and service particularly in the
field of Hotel and Conference bookings.

September 2001 saw the launch of 'Leonardo', Oakton's Hotel & Conference Booking System, Oakton now powers in excess of £50 million of Hotel bookings per annum. Leonardo improves productivity and customer service across the entire supply chain, streamlining the process for all concerned.

Oakton has provided technology services and consultancy for distributed and web solutions alike. As early as October 2000 saw the selection of Oakton to provide Project Management Consultancy to the andbook.com joint venture, providing consultancy from the design stage through launch and beyond.

May 2002 will see additional Hotel Booking services added to the portfolio. Oakton will be extending it's consultancy services to include Hospitality and Travel Web Evaluation, assisting it's clients to
understand the factors driving their 'look to book' ratios and through improved design and usability increasing their sales and profitability.
